Yes, but if you have a large appetite you may wish to eat a little bit before or after the tour.

The tour runs from 2:30 to 5:30.

The Tour starts by meeting your guide at the Jasper Information Centre, Downtown Jasper.

All food is provided by locally owned restaurants that serve internationally inspired dishes.

Jasper is the least inhabited of the large national parks, so chances are you will encounter animals.  Keep in mind, Jasper National Park is not a zoo but a wild, protected area. The types of animals seen on the tour depends on the season, the time of day, and the weather.  Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.

The Wildlife Discovery Tour is a van tour with minimal walking.

Photos are usually taken from the inside the vehicle or on the ground at a safe distance from the animals.

Kindly note that the selected route is at the discretion of your guide.  Stops will be made at a number of scenic spots to take photos of the incredible scenery as well as wherever we see wildlife.

Pick-ups are available at all Jasper hotels and accomodations. Please note, there are no pick-ups at the Overlander Lodge, Pocohontas Cabins, Jasper Campgrounds, Jasper East or Hinton.

In the afternoon, make your way to the Jasper Visitor Information Center for your Downtown Foodie Tour, where you will discover Jasper through its culinary offerings.  On this short 1.5 KM downtown guided walk, you will visit four local restaurants and taste four carefully handpicked dishes, each paired with an alcoholic beverage while listening to Jasper’s top tales along the way. What’s on the menu? Not telling….. It’s all part of the adventure!

Please meet:  2:30 PM at the information center,  downtown Jasper, 500 Connaught Drive. Foodie Tour ends at 5:30 PM.

Departing at 9:00 AM, your Sundog Tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to begin your Winter Wildlife Discovery Tour. Their knowledgeable guides are trained to seek out all of the park’s most iconic creatures, big or small! Elk, deer, sheep, goats, coyotes, wolves, and moose are just a sample of Jasper’s wild mountain fauna. As you travel through the Athabasca Valley they will show you some of the park’s most beautiful scenery, so have your camera ready!
